Thought Provoking Quotes

“Pre-respond to life before it finds a way to hurt you.”

- Mo Gawdat

"The more you think about the future, the better you get at it."

- Jane McGonigal

Travel Like Never Before

People are travelling more than ever before.

I came across this podcast during the week, about the importance of sustainable travel.

It was fascinating listening to it.

I think I will be a more mindful traveller than ever before, because of it.

Maybe It’s Time To Go Offline For A Bit?

This week, I've been reflecting on the importance of disconnecting from our digital lives, in a world that's always online.

Should we be unplugging completely regularly?

I love the idea of a digital detox that the "The Offline Club" in The Netherlands is promoting and doing.

Their events in cafes allow you to unplug and engage in activities like reading, drawing, or simply talking with others without any digital devices.

Their mantra of swapping screen time for real time truly resonates with me.

Forbes Magazine also did an excellent piece on them here

I think this concept will grow worldwide.

Go Somewhere Dark & Quiet Occasionally

Going to the cinema can be a meditative experience.

I cherish going, albeit I don’t do it very often.

The few hours offline, the darkness, the quiet, and the focus on the story is pure escapism for me whenever I go.

A favourite writer and producer of mine Paolo Sorrentino’s new film Parthenope premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last week, and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen.

It’s a reminder of how important it is to carve out some quality time for ourselves.

Take a look at the film preview here and see what you think.

Would You Like A Phone Without Any Social Media, News, Email Nor Internet Browser?

It does however, allow you still to make calls and texts, and has a headphone jack and bluetooth.

Yes? Well take a look here and let me know what you think?
