Paul Ippolito
Ippolito Advisory advises lawyers on the setup, strategy, and development of solo law practices.
The work is focused on solicitors, barristers, and consultant lawyers operating independently, or preparing to do so.
The practice is led by Paul Ippolito.
Paul set up his own law firm more than 17 years ago and continues to practise through Ippolito Lawyers.
Over that time, he has worked with many lawyers establishing and reshaping their own solo practices, including barristers and solicitors transitioning to the Bar.
His experience spans legal practice, legal education, business and people management, and law firm leadership.
He has been on the tools, in the courtroom, and across the table with clients in both litigation and transactional matters.
He has also taught law students and lawyers and worked inside the business of law.
Paul still practises. He still teaches. He still runs a law firm.
That means the advice provided through Ippolito Advisory is grounded in lived experience, not theory.
The approach is practical and direct.
The focus is on helping lawyers think clearly about independence, capacity, systems, financial control, positioning, and how their practices need to evolve in a profession being reshaped by technology and AI.
This work is not for everyone.
We say no when it is not the right fit.
We do not sugar-coat advice.
And we are upfront about fees.
For those we work with, the objective is simple - to support deliberate, meaningful progress in setting up, strengthening, or repositioning a solo law practice.
