Looking Ahead In Technology?

Curious about what’s trending next in the tech world? This is a podcast worth listening to, two part which talks about the latest tech to watch out for. AI gets a big mention, no surprises, but there are some interesting other things in here as well.

Adversity, Success And Embracing Life

Howard Lutnick, CEO and Chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald, shares his powerful story of resilience, including the enormous impact of 9/11 on his firm in an amazing two part podcast I listened to this week. His journey reminds us of the strength needed to adapt and rebuild—and the importance of resilience, no matter where you are in your career. Listen to it here.

On My Desk

These are my three priorities at the moment.

  1. I am working on a piece for external publication on why travel is so important for professionals and people in business.

  2. I am working on a future of work update for external publication given it is such a topical and fluid issue and one integral to the stability of our post pandemic world, especially in light of the pace of generational changes and the advance of AI.

  3. I am putting together a Future Leaders coaching module because I think management and leadership are huge complex issues today and quite frankly you can never get enough coaching, mentoring and support in being a manager and leader, especially in these complex times we live in.

Feel free to reach out if you think you have something that might be of use for me in relation to the above.

For my lawyer subscribers, I want to share an article I had published late last year highlighting future-driven issues for 2024. Sometimes reflecting on our previous insights can provide a clearer path forward. Here it is for you.

Thinking About Slowing Down Or Retiring?

For anyone contemplating a change, I read this truly inspiring story of a professional who pursued a dream of sailing around the world at age 60. It's a great reminder that reinvention can happen at any stage. Take a look at it here.

How Productive Are You Really?

Two productivity gurus Cal Newport and Oliver Burkeman share their views on this controversial and yet important subject for all professionals here, and the importance of ultimately as they say, being a human being not just a human doing!
