The Paul Ippolito Outlook Newsletter

Welcome to the first edition of The Paul Ippolito Outlook.

This is our newly rebranded and formatted weekly newsletter.

It is targeted especially at professionals, leaders, and organisations and like you, lawyers and others who are on this mailing list.

It is basically a snapshot of what I have been working on, thinking about, what I have been listening to, reading, watching, researching as well as anything interesting I have come across during the past week.

It is loosely focussed on our business Ippolito Advisory’s mission of empowering people like you regarding foresight, trends, and strategy of “a bit of everything” and helping you grow, stay ahead of the game, and be as well rounded as possible.

A Thought-Provoking Quote

“If everybody always lies to you, the consequence is not that you believe the lies, but rather no-one believes anything any longer”.

- Hannah Arendt

Reading

I just finished reading Peter Attia’s excellent book called Outlive.

It is about the science and art surrounding longevity. It is a bit of a long read, quite raw and intense as well as technical at times but I found it a really good guide about the things that influence living a long and healthy life, with something in it for everyone.

Peter Attia is a physician, so he gets first-hand the pressure that professionals experience and is not afraid to tell it like it is.

My key takeaway being, the earlier you start doing this stuff the better.

Listening

I listen a lot to Gary Vee. I think you might like him as well.

He is a creative genius, and really gets what is going on in the world right now.

I like his real, no-nonsense, and practical advice.

This episode really resonated with me about the importance of continuing to have a growth mindset. I think professionals need as much advice as they can about online branding and marketing, for themselves and their businesses.

Trends To Watch

I honestly think we are well into transitioning out of the pandemic, and more and more into our new normal.

Just look at how well the stock market is performing as a lead indicator of economies future health.

However, I do have one key qualification to the above, that I would like to share below.

What I Am Working On

I've been doing a lot of research into hybrid working and the future of work post-pandemic, an area that seems yet to find its footing.

The unresolved questions around the purpose of work, its optimal setting, the function of offices, the essence of collaboration, the future of cities and commercial real estate, and the new demands on leadership are all live issues, affecting the transition to new normal.

I'm planning to unpack these topics further in a forthcoming blog post on our website, www.paulippolito.com.au
